Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Jointly, your flexible, subscription-based design team. These terms outline how we work together, what you can expect from us, and how we handle billing. By subscribing to or commissioning work from Jointly, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Effective from 1st July 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to Jointly, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you are accessing our services on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

2. Communication and Workflow

2.1 Primary Contact
To keep things clear and efficient, we encourage you to nominate one main point of contact. This person will consolidate feedback, approvals and decisions throughout the working relationship.

2.2 Responsiveness
Timely communication is key to making the most of your hours. Delays in feedback or approvals may impact project timelines and efficiency.

3. Scope of Services

Jointly provides creative services across design, development and copywriting through a monthly subscription or via bespoke project arrangements.

3.1 Subscription Model
Your subscription grants access to our full creative team, with work carried out based on your hourly package. Hours can be used flexibly across any offered services.

3.2 One-Time Projects
For defined-scope work outside of a subscription, we offer bespoke project support. These are typically scoped with fixed deliverables and timelines, and are billed according to the value and complexity of the work. Please refer to Section 6 for invoicing and payment terms relating to these projects.

3.2 Exclusions
Your subscription does not include third-party costs including but not limited to: image licensing, fonts, translations or external content creation. You’re responsible for ensuring you hold rights to any materials provided for use.

4. Ownership and Promotion

All final, paid-for work becomes your intellectual property. Jointly reserves the right to showcase completed projects in our portfolio or marketing materials, unless otherwise requested not to do so in writing.

5. Subscription Terms and Conditions

5.1 Payment in Advance
All subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Work begins only once payment has been received and processed.

5.2 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may pause or cancel at any time, provided you give at least 10 days’ notice before your renewal date.

5.3 Hour Rollover
Unused hours may roll over into the following month only. After that, they will expire. Rollover is limited to one month and is subject to the terms of your specific package.

5.4 Pausing or Cancelling
Subscriptions can be paused or cancelled via your client portal or by contacting our team. Work continues until the end of your current billing cycle.

6. Bespoke Project Payment Terms

6.1 Projects Between £1,000–£5,000

A 50% deposit is invoiced on quote approval.

Work may begin once the deposit invoice has been issued.

The final 50% is invoiced upon completion and must be paid before delivery of final assets.

6.2 Projects Over £5,000

A 50% upfront payment is required before work starts.

No initial deliverables will be shared until the deposit has cleared.

The remaining balance is invoiced upon project completion and must be settled before final delivery.

6.3 New Clients
For all new clients commissioning bespoke projects within the first three months of working with Jointly, a 50% upfront payment is required for each project, regardless of value.

7. Payment Terms

All invoices are due within 30 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Overdue payments may result in a temporary pause on services.

We will always notify you before any action is taken regarding outstanding balances.

Once payment is received, services will resume promptly.

8. Termination and Account Access

Either party may terminate the agreement with appropriate notice.

Upon cancellation, access to the client portal remains active for 90 days.

After 90 days, your account will be archived but can be reactivated upon resubscription.

9. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

10. Data Protection

We respect your privacy and comply with data protection laws. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

12. Warranties and Disclaimers

Our services are provided as described and without specific guarantees on outcomes. That said, we’re committed to doing high-quality, considered work every time.

13. Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve all issues professionally and fairly. If needed, disputes will be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
